BY DARBY CRAVER
Aidan is too young to be washed up and too old to live so laissez faire, when a string of powerful events, real and possibly surreal, lead this endearingly flawed sod into uncharted emotional territories.
Aidan is a handsome mess, often callous, usually drunk, and always entertaining. His literary career, like most aspects of his life, was intense and fleeting. Aside from his big brother Patrick, Katie had been Aidan’s most loyal friend, matching wits and his bygone passion for life. Having drifted apart from Katie and failing in his career, Aidan’s life has become an endless string of casual relationships, parties and bad decisions.
Everything Aidan has run from will turn his life upside down when confronted with Katie’s new life, his own demons and tragedies past. These experiences, maybe real, maybe not, will force Aidan to find faith in himself and face what he holds dear.
